What to Expect
Join author Denyce Lawton for an intimate afternoon celebrating the release of her debut novel, Didn't We Almost Have It All.
This exclusive gathering offers readers a rare opportunity to connect with the author, learn the stories behind the story, and celebrate the beginning of an exciting new literary journey.
Guests will be welcomed with an introduction from the author, followed by an exclusive reading from the novel. Denyce will share the personal experiences, inspirations, and behind-the-scenes stories that helped shape the book, along with a special preview of forthcoming projects and future titles.
Following the reading, guests will enjoy a meet-and-greet experience where they will receive their pre-personalized signed copy of the book (first names only) and have the opportunity to take a photo with the author. To ensure everyone has a chance to participate, guests are kindly asked to have their phones or cameras ready before reaching the front of the line. An event attendant will be available to take photos using your device.
Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served throughout the afternoon. Guests will enjoy small bites inspired by elements of the novel's storyline. Please note that these refreshments are intended as tasting portions rather than a full meal. The menu contains chicken and gluten. Unfortunately, vegan and vegetarian options will not be available.

All events will begin promptly as scheduled. Please arrive on time to avoid missing or disrupting the live reading. Once the reading begins, doors will close and will not reopen until the session has concluded.

Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive promptly and be seated before the introduction and reading begin. To avoid disruptions and preserve the experience for all attendees, no entry will be permitted once the event has started. Guests will only be able to enter after the reading and can participate in the meet & greet and signing.

An introduction and greeting of the Author. An exclusive sample reading by the author. The author will give exclusive intimate details that inspired and shaped the novel and share details of her forthcoming titles.

The author will distribute pre-personalized signed copies of books with first names only during the meet and greet. This will also be the only opportunity for photos with the author. Please be respectful of time and fellow guests by having cameras and phones ready before reaching the front of the line. There will be an attendee who will capture the photo for you with your device.
LOCATION & Parking
Complimentary on-site parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Valet service will not be provided, so please plan accordingly and allow time to park and make your way to the venue.
In accordance with the venue's privacy and security policies, the event location will be shared exclusively with confirmed guests. Detailed location information will be emailed to attendees prior to the event.
For those who would like a general idea of the location before reserving, please note that the venue is located in Prince George's County, Maryland, in the Bowie, Largo, Kettering, and Mitchellville area.
No smoking, alcohol, outside food or beverages will be permitted, with the exception of water (without dye additives).

Unfortunately, due to venue restrictions, no book sales will be conducted at the event. Additional copies and multiple books must be pre-purchased through the website prior to arrival and may be picked up at the event.
If your order includes multiple books, please notify the event assistant upon arrival and be prepared to present your purchase receipt or order confirmation for verification.
