A LUV TALE

Set in culturally rich and historic Harlem, ‘A Luv Tale,’ is an edgy romantic comedy series that examines the friendship among four (4) beautiful lesbians of color (Taylor, Candice, Akila & Tammy), navigating their complex lives through a world of art, music, consciousness and love.

Starring Rotimi Akinosho ('Power'), Vanessa Williams (Soul Food), Leon ('Five Heartbeats'), Valerie Pettiford ('The Backlist') and guest appearances by Swizz Beats.

Lawton recurs as Mercedes, Akila’s (Amber Whittington) estranged girlfriend. Mercedes is a music teacher whose passion for music and love for Akila and her music career complicates things.

Created by Sidra Smith, Directed by Kay Oxygen (Exec Prod & Writer ‘This Is Us’), Cinematographer Haylna Hutchins who was recently killed on the film set ‘RUST’ by Actor Alec Baldwin.

Season 2 has been RENEWED and is underway.
